Employee Support

We provide practical, evidence-based support in almost all our employee consultations. A surprising number of employees have little understanding of the medical issues underlying their health problems, the medical options available or what they might do themselves to reduce the impact of their condition. We explain individuals’ conditions, answer their questions and help them understand treatment options. We always offer employees a copy of our medical notes to share with their GP or specialist: these sometimes result in a new diagnosis, further investigations being carried out or treatment being brought forward. We particularly focus on how employees can help themselves, be it anxiety, stress management, depression, insomnia, back pain, arthritis, diabetes or migraine. Helping employees to help themselves is empowering and often leads to sustained improvements in health, well-being, attendance and productivity well beyond the present illness or absence.
